Ekaterina Nemirovich-Danchenko
The successor to the famous dynasty of directors, playwrights, writers and actors, who for several generations actively participated in the formation and updating of the Russian theater tradition. Her great-grandfather Vladimir Ivanovich Nemirovich-Danchenko was, together with K.S. Stanislavsky, the founder of the famous Moscow Art Theater (MAT).
At the age of 7, Ekaterina entered the Central School of Music at the Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory, then graduated with honors from the Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the classes of Tatyana Nikolaeva and Dmitry Bashkirov.
After completing her education at the Conservatory, Ekaterina moved to Paris, where she continued to improve her musical skills under the guidance of Leon Fleischer, Jean-Francois Eicher and Germain Monier. Since that time, Russia, France and Germany have become the main countries in her touring map.
Thanks to her excellent mastery of the ensemble, Ekaterina regularly collaborates with violinists Anne-Sophie Mutter and Maxim Vengerov, clarinetists Florent Héau and Evgeniy Varavko. Also, Ekaterina is constantly invited as a concertmaster by such international competitions as the International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow, Russia), Tibor Varga Competition (Zion, Switzerland),Long Thibaud Competition (Paris, France), etc.

Evgeniy Varavko was born in Moscow. He began his music career under the guidance of K. V .Agranat. He became the laureate of the Moscow youth competition of wind instrument performers twice. In 1995 he graduated from the Academic Music College at the Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the clarinet class of Professor V. V. Petrova and in 2000 he entered a assistant-internship in the same professor's class and graduated from the Moscow Conservatory. In 2001, he joined the ENSM Guy Deplus’s class, from Paris to learn French School of clarinet. He obtained the Diploma in Clarinet Performance and Higher Diploma in Chamber Music Concert in 2003.
Evgeniy participated in many international chamber festivals, has repeatedly participated in premiere performances of music by Podgaits, Bronner, Tarnopolsky, Rusanova-Lucas, Vasilyev, Umansky and others. He also collaborates with such orchestras as the Russian National Orchestra, the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Svetlanov State Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow's theater "School of Contemporary Plays", "The Quartet I", "Impromptu", and Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre.
In 2003-2006 he was a teacher at the Ippolitov-Ivanov State Musical Pedagogical Institute. In June 2007 he was invited to teach at the French summer academy of clarinet and saxophone “Selmer for children”, and in August 2014 he was invited to the English summer music academy LMFL. Since 2011 he teaches a clarinet class at a music school and the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. Since Since 2012 he became a professor of clarinet at the summer music academies “Musique en Graves” and “International Music Stages” (France). He has toured in Estonia, Ukraine, Israel, Switzerland, Hungary, France, USA and Germany.
He participated in the recordings of music for the television program “Return of the Tretyakov Gallery” on the channel RTR.
